It will be very interesting to see what GM is up to after this and not naming their lidar supplier now seems like a foreshadow to something they knew may be coming. This opens up so many avenues though, as perhaps we may not even have to buy them out. I think in this scenario it's entirely dependent on if GM still plans to go with their Cepton lidar agreement but it could open up one of the biggest vendors to luminar who could take their systems to the next level cepton never would have been able to. I wonder if that 70 million we have available for M&A transactions can come into play and luminar acquires cepton, it's array of lidar's, and the big prize the GM contract. With the Market Cap now at 90 million and possibly in a cash bind cepton may be ripe for a cheap buyout.
