But, it also depends on the game as some do have VAC enabled on single player based on how the server software is written. But as you said above they tend to only enable VAC during multiplayer sessions on any game that has it. Or the host has a flag to enable vac on his own playthrough Then i really doubt they added VAC but just their own anti-cheat(anti cheat does not mean vac by default).
